On this week’s episode of Glee, the love triangle between Finn, Quinn, and Puck (even though Finn doesn’t yet realize he is involved) got more complicated as Quinn pressured Finn to get a job and help with the pregnancy expenses. Meanwhile, Puck decides to step up and help out his baby mama on his own.
The glee club is faced with a problem, in order for the entire team to ride together to sectionals, they must raise enough money for a handicap accessible bus. But the club isn’t thrilled about the idea and suggests Artie just drive with his dad and the rest of them will take one o f the school’s usual buses. Will, disappointed by the team, tells them they must raise the money, the old school way, by throwing a bake sale. The team did pull together and raised enough for the bus thanks to some “special” cupcakes baked by Puck. Of course he didn’t only have Artie in mind, he also skimmed a little bit for Quinn too. In the end though, Artie decided to ride with his dad and use the money to install ramps in the school’s auditorium.
The highlight of the episode may have been the showdown between Kurt and Rachel. The two competed for the lead, singing “Defying Gravity” from Wicked. Kurt got some surprising support form his dad but in the end threw the competition to spare his father the scrutiny that would surely follow his performance of a song typically sung by a woman.
Sue is forced to hold open auditions for the Cheeros. To the surprise of everyone, she picks a sweet handicapped girl by the name of Becky Johnson. But, we soon learn that Sue has an older handicapped sister whom she visits often. It was nice to see a softer side of Sue but I hope she doesn’t lose her edge, its usually the highlight of the show.
