As the glee club finally heads to regional, they find themselves up against Sue Sylvester once again.
It seems Sue is set to be one of the “celebrity” judges at the competition, alongside former “Glee” guest stars Olivia Newton-John and Josh Groban, and promises Will she will do everything she can to keep them from winning.
With his glee club feeling defeated, Will turns to Emma for help, only to find out she is dating her dentist (who will be played by John Stamos next season). Later on, Will declares his love for her and leaves her stunned after a passionate kiss in the hallway.
Finn also made a love confession, to Rachel, right before the headed onto the stage for a lively mash-up of Journey songs including “Faithfully,” “Any Way You Want It,” “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezing” and the song that started it all, “Don’t Stop Believin'”.
But, in the end, Vocal Adrenaline still won the competition with their version of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. Surprisingly, it wasn’t Sue who voted for them either. As Olivia Newton John reminded her she wasn’t much different from the kids of New Directions, she gave them her vote (of course she would never admit it to Mr. Shue). And, in the end, she even convinced Figgins to give the group one more year, even though they lost.
Finally, Quinn, and Puck have their baby and in a cruel twist of fate, the birth mother Rachel’s been longing to have a relationship with, Vocal Adrenaline coach Shelby Corcoran (Idina Menzel), adopts the baby.
