Glee’s season two premiere kicked off with updates from the summer via Jacob’s webumentary. We learned that Finn and Rachel are more in love than ever, Puck had a vasectomy, and, shockingly, Tina dumped Artie for Mike!
We also met the new football coach (it seems Ken had a meltdown after his break up with Emma), Shannon Biste (pronounced “beast”). When Biste’s need for more football funding threatens the Glee Club and Cheerios, Sue and Mr. Schue join forces. To Sue’s dismay though, Will eventually comes to his senses and realizes that Biste just wants to belong and isn’t that bad after all.
In order to excel to Nationals, the glee club realizes they need some need blood, which is when Rachel discovers Sunshine, a small girl with a big voice. This, of course, freaked Rachel out and caused her to sabotage Sunshine’s audition by sending her to a crack house. With a renewed sense of vengeance for the glee club, Sue gave the new Vocal Adrenaline coach a head’s up about Sunshine, who gladly jumped ship after Rachel’s nasty trick.
